2010 Changes & VPP/hand

Postby FPP Pro » December 23rd, 2009, 1:26 pm

With the 2010 changes, VPP/hand will obviously be affected. The effect for FR is generally negative while the VPP/hand rates at SH/HU games have generally improved.

Someone over at 2p2 put this together. I believe based on PTR data. I will be doing the same shortly and attempting to make very accurate VPP/hand tables.

Two things:
1) That chart isn't quite accurate -sorry for posting before 100% confirmation in the numbers
2) Popular tracking sites use rake paid instead of MGR (total rake/# players) which will make getting VPP/hand numbers nearly impossible for every limit.

So if you guys can spend 5-10 minutes in your database for me and post your MGR at specific limits and the number of hands it's over that would be a big help in updating the VPP/hand pages. I'll post a how to soon.

I believe HEM calculates "Rake" as MGR (instead of contributed). So it should be that.

You can also add "New Stars VPP" or whatever the exact name of that stat is and multiply by 6/5 for full ring and 5.5/5 for shorthanded/heads up.
